Job Description

Our client who operates a 5* boutique hotel in Latin America is currently looking for an experienced Executive Chef who is able oversee all kitchens and to lead a local brigade for their hotel.

The ideal candidate will bring with them 5* / 4* hotel background, have overseen fine dining plus multi outlet restaurants and banqueting. We are ideally lookng for a Chef with Carribean or Latin American experience. The Chef should also have experience in upgrading culinary standards and be good with training.

Previous experience with multinational associates preferable, and be able to adapt and lead a local team. Strong personality and ability to work under pressure, also needs to have good communication skills and enjoy guest interaction. Ability to train existing associates for new market trends. Computer proficiency is a must and also someone who is experienced in being able to control food costs.

We are ideally looking for someone who has min of 3+ years’ experience as an Executive Chef or a very strong Executive Sous Chef ready for the next step. Someone who is creative, energetic and who speaks some Spanish.

(Please note the hotel is in a somewhat challenging location and not suitable for anyone traveling with school age children).
